    Prince George's Area Science Fair (PGASF)

    The Prince George’s Area Science Fair (PGASF) would like to invite you to attend its 72nd Annual Science Fair at Charles H. Flowers High School, 10001 Ardwick-Ardmore Road, Springdale, Maryland 20774.  Display and judging of all projects for students in grades 6-12 will begin March 21, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The PGASF Exhibit Hall will be open to the public from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The event will close with an awards ceremony from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  Doors to the auditorium will open for guests at 5:15 p.m. and for student participants at 5:45 p.m.

     This year’s theme is "Engaging in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to Explore Our Unexplored World". Over 400 student projects will be displayed and judged from public schools in three counties:  Calvert, Saint Mary’s, and Prince George’s, as well as from several Prince George’s County charter and private schools. 

    Several organizations will present special prizes and awards in various categories to our top winners.  Full-time university scholarships will be awarded to three first-place high school seniors.  The top two high school grand award winners, one individual and one team project, will have the opportunity to advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Anaheim, CA from May 10-15, 2020.  These finalists will have the opportunity to compete for scholarships and prizes valuing over one million dollars.
