Maria is a dual enrollment student at Gwynn Park High School and Prince George’s Community College.

Her course load includes Advanced Placement Statistics, Human Geography, Calculus, Studio Art 20, Biology, Psychology, Literature, and Language and Composition.

Maria was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Association during her sophomore and junior years and also played volleyball as a junior.

Maria has received numerous academic scholarships. She has been accepted to Washington State University, University of New Haven, University of Pittsburgh, Old Dominion University, Marshall University, Arizona State University and Meredith College. She plans to major in biomedical engineering or biotechnology.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys writing poetry, painting, and drawing.
