    CTE Summer Opportunities

     

    Career Explorers Summer Program

    The purpose of the Career Explorers Summer Camp experience is to provide rising 9th and 10th grade students with the opportunity to explore skilled and professional careers, to help students match career goals and interests and to increase awareness of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This exposure will assist students in making a more informed decision regarding their future educational and career options.

    Over a two-week timeline, students will learn about two different industries and combine their skill sets into one project to present their knowledge as a summer capstone model at the very end of the program.

    Week 1:
    July 9 - 12, 2018

    July 16 - 19, 2018

    8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    All applications are accepted on a “First-come, first- served basis.” All rising 9th and rising 10th grade students are welcome to apply. To ensure that students with disabilities graduate college, career, and community-ready this camp will provide a continuum of services, specialized instruction, and related services. Please indicate if student received any services for SY 2017/18

    Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering Summer Mathematics Mastery Academy 

    The Summer Mathematics Mastery Academy is designed to provide youth with an interactive and innovative foundation on academic skills with a concentrated focus on mathematics. Designed and administered by EduSerc, this critical thinking based program model will provide remediation, acceleration, and hands-on mastery in Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2/Trigonometry.
