    Overview

    The Environment, Agriculture & Natural Resources (EANR) Program embraces an interdisciplinary approach to the study of earth systems and the human impact on the environment. Through this course of study, the students will build on obtaining a solid foundation of biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Students who successfully complete the programs of study are equipped to pursue areas of study in college and career fields related to agriculture, environmental science, and natural resources. 


    Programs of Study

    The Environmental, Agricultural, and Natural Resources (EANR) Program currently features two pathways: Animal Science and Natural Resources. 

    Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) - Natural Resources
    The CASE - Natural Resources Pathway Is composed of a four-course sequence that
    covers environmental, agricultural and natural resource issues and management. Students will engage in scientific inquiry related to local and regional environmental issues in natural resources management.
    • Program Duration: 3 Years
    • Beginning Grade Level: 10th
    • Program Location: Fairmont Heights*, High Point*
    *Boundary Students Only


    Curriculum For Agricultural Science Education (Case) - Animal Science
    The CASE - Animal Science Pathway is composed of a four-course sequence involving the study of communication, the science of agriculture, plants, animals, natural resources, and agricultural mechanics. While surveying the opportunities available in agriculture and natural resources, students will learn to solve problems, conduct research, analyze data, collaborate, and take responsibility for their work and learning.
    • Program Duration: 3 Years
    • Beginning Grade Level: 10th
    • Program Location: Gwynn Park

    Recommended Electives for Both  Pathways: Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry, Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Environmental Issues
