Largo High School

Prince George's County Public School presents the National College Fair in partnership with over 300 hundred colleges and Universities. All 11th-grade students are invited to attend the fair on April 9th for a cost of $6.00. Use the QR code to register by March 15th. You can only attend the fair with Largo High School. No parents are allowed to attend this event. See Mrs. Dates, Professional School Counselor, in the guidance suite for a permission slip and to make your payment.

The Largo STEM Fair is an opportunity for students to develop and demonstrate solutions they have designed for 'real world' problems. The STEM projects showcase ingenuity, students self-reflection and products that solve problems. The acronym STEM means S-Science, T-Technology, E-Engineering, and M-Mathematics. These four (4) disciplines can be observed in some of the steps when creating a project. Students ask questions (Science), define problems (Engineering), construct explanations (Science), design solutions (Engineering), use mathematics and computational thinking (Mathematics), and much more.
