Mr. Alexander Dulce is one of the honorees as a pair of K-12 educators and engineers that, through their joint collaboration, provide learning experiences to precollege students, support the education and curriculum requirements of their institution, promote and increase the math, science and engineering awareness of student participants, and/or support the educational goals of the IEEE and IEEE-USA and for outstanding and sustained contributions in STEM education and mentoring of underrepresented communities through the Baltimore Robot Challenge program.

The window for quarter 1 grade appeals will open on November 28, 2022. The final day to submit grade appeals is DECEMBER 2, 2022 at 3:00pm.

Benchmark Testing will take place November 4 - 17, 2022. All students enrolled in an assessed course are required to take the Benchmark #1 assessment; 

 

English:            English 9, English 10 and ESOL Advanced

Mathematics:   Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Quantitative Modeling 

Science:          Biology

Social Studies:  Local, State and National (LSN) Government & AP Government

Annual Homecoming Week 


October 10th -16th will be our annual homecoming week. Students will be allowed to be out of uniform this week only and are encouraged to dress according to the daily themes.  Please see the details of events for the week below:

 

Theme of the Week "Nightmare on Main Street"

 

Tuesday - Evil Duo Drive: Dress up as your favorite evil duo.   

Event: Apollo Night/Pop up Shop Pop -up from 5-6 /Apollo 6:30 - 8)  (Auditorium)

Wednesday - Class Color Court, wear class shirts or colors representing your class. 

Event: Class Night (Gym) Doors open at 6pm, Event time: 6:30 - 8:30pm 

 

Thursday - Stop at Memory Lane, come dressed as something you would've worn on Halloween as a kid. 

Event: Kouture Show (Auditorium) Doors open at 6:30, Event time: 7-9pm

 

Friday - Monster Prep Manor, come dressed in any Flowers gear including team shirts or colors representing the school (black, green, silver) (Football Field). Spirit walk begins at 1pm (out to the field) Pep Rally -  1:15 - 2:15pm (on the field)

 

The Homecoming Parade (all clubs, organizations, classes, etc. are welcome to participate) will be held at 6pm. Line up will begin at 5pm in the parking lot of Ardwick Ardmore Park. 

 

The football game will be held at 7pm versus Parkdale HS. Tickets will be available via ticket spicket. 

 

Saturday - Homecoming Dance - Although the theme of the event is spooky you DO NOT have to dress in costumes or anything related to Halloween. Wear semi - formal attire, please ensure that it does not violate the PGCPS dress code. Additionally no large bags will be allowed in any events. Time: 8pm-11pm

Our faculty members will be hosting the annual Parent-Teacher Conferences either this Thursday, October 6th or Monday, October 10th, based on teacher availability. Please find linked to this correspondence a spreadsheet which includes the availability for each teacher assigned to CHF, links to create appointments and a Zoom link as the option exists to attend the conference in-person or virtually. SGA presents the Clubs and Organizations Open House on September 28, 2022 from 6 - 8 pm. Explore the opportunities for students to participate in the many clubs and activities that we have to offer. Concessions will be operated by the National Honor Society.

This year’s BTS Night will begin at 6:45pm with a message delivered by the Charles H. Flowers High School Leadership Team. This message can be viewed on the Zoom link below or at your leisure via Youtube. This link has also been added below. Virtual classroom visits will start promptly at 7pm. All available teachers can be accessed via the BTSN Links below. The Administrative Team will make themselves available from 6:30pm-6:45pm to answer any questions that you may have via the administrative introductions link.

We are looking forward to a wonderful virtual event and to meeting you in person on September 28th at our Open House!

On Thursday, August 25th at 6pm we will be hosting our annual "Meet the Leaders" virtual town hall where we provide you with the opportunity to hear from the leaders who support the various programs and departments within our school community. I will also be providing a brief overview of opening week procedures and things to come during our first few weeks of the school year.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Students

Please drop off students in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon on St. Joseph’s drive. Please do not use the parking lot between 7:30am- 8am and 2:15pm -2:45pm unless you have an appointment in the building. Early dismissals will be cut-off at 2:10pm.
