The U.S. census — a once in 10-year count of U.S. residents — determines how and where billions of dollars in federal funding will be spent over the next decade.

For each person counted in Prince George's County, we receive more than $18,000 in federal funds which pays for our schools, public services and many other programs that directly impact our community.

The census will collect basic information about the people living in your household. It's fast, safe, important and easy!

Completing your census form should take no more than 10 minutes and your personal information is always confidential, including citizenship. You may complete the census online, by phone or by mail and can respond in 13 different languages via phone or online.

Most households will receive a letter asking you to go online to complete the census questionnaire in March 2020.
