POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the direction of the Director of Technology Operations, the incumbent of this position is responsible for user account management for all staff and students in the district. The work involves assisting System Administrators in managing all user access to enterprise systems including but not limited to, Oracle Identity Manager, MS Active Directory, Oracle E-Business Suite, Harris SchoolMAX Student Information System, Google Apps and Data Warehouse. Additionally, from time to time, this position provides backup support for system administrator/security tasks Oracle E-Business Suite; Harris SchoolMAX Student Information System and Data Warehouse as applicable.    

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Provide access management assistance for all enterprise systems including, but not limited to Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle E-Business Suite, Harris SchoolMAX, Windows Active Directory, Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Exchange, and Data Warehouse;

Understand access procedures for all enterprise systems thoroughly, so as to provide coverage for all System Administrators during peak times;

Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits;

Manage various Google Apps services implemented, including but not limited to, Gmail, Google+, Calendar, Drive & Docs, Groups and Sites; Administer users and organizations;

Configure/maintain security and authentication; provide support for mobile access to Google Apps;

Support Active Directory administration, managing organizations, groups and users; 

Provide access controls with Oracle user management, AOL security, user & data auditing; manage printers & concurrent programs for Oracle E-Business Suite;

Provide user & role management support for Harris SchoolMAX & Data Warehouse;

Notifies the System Administrator Technical Lead of any instances he/she observes of inadequate or inappropriate service and methods of operation, security breaches, poor workmanship, or improper conduct or behavior, which may be pertinent to administration of all enterprise systems;

Ensure all Help Desk scripts and escalations are accurate and works with the Help Desk to identify, clarify, and/or resolve any systemic issues;

Provide escalated support to IT Technicians, Technology Liaisons, Help Desk, and end-users;

Create and provide reports for periodic statutory audits and investigation; respond to inquiries involving systems access and email communication;

Document problems and/or changes that hamper identity and email services management and provide incident reports to management;

Escalate incidents to appropriate vendors and/or internal personnel in accordance with our support team standards;

Periodically meet with the System Administration team to share information, provide updates and participate in the planning and implementation of future projects; and

Provide 24/7 on call support for the supported enterprise systems, and be able to respond to emergency situations in an effective and efficient manner. Perform related work as required.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Knowledge of Active Directory management in a large-scale network environment;

Working level knowledge and experience using Oracle Identity & Access Management suite to administer user accounts;

Experience in administering very large Google Apps environments;

Experience in managing access using role-based access control; solid understanding of security needs for student information; and

Excellent communication and effective decision making skills.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


 

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field with at least 5 years of technical experience involving System Administration or Access Management for a large organization; considerable technical experience in identity management or any equivalent combination of demonstrated experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

 



CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


 

Microsoft Certified System Engineer – preferred Oracle Identity Manager 11g Certified Implementation Specialist - preferred.


 



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


No direct supervisory responsibilities.
