POSITION SUMMARY:
Under
the direction of the supervisor, the Data Support Assistant assists with
performing responsible instructional and fiscal tasks in support of the assigned
program.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Assists and facilitates orientations,
workshops, and staff meetings and assists with staff development activities
using technology assisted instruction and other state of the art technology;
Processes payments of services,
equipment and workshops in Oracle;
Conducts inventory of technology devices
and equipment at applicable schools;
Keeps an updated inventory including the
technology equipment and materials in the Data Asset Management system;
Maintains central inventory records of
all in-use property; processes administrative forms and documents reflecting
changes in status of property; compiles and submits reports as required;
Requisitions a wide variety of
materials, supplies and services;
Sets up workshops in Edoctrina;
Provides technical support for hardware
problems as they arise in assigned schools and program;
Attends staff meeting and other
appropriate program activities;
Develops a system of checking out
technology related materials to program staff;
Assists in the preparation of in-service
materials and activities;
Maintains a daily log of activities; and
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Good knowledge of inventory and property
systems procedures;
Ability to organize and coordinate plans
and schedules and to effectively communicate and conduct interpersonal
relations with all levels of the school system organization;
Good knowledge of and skill in the
operation of data processing equipment;
Good knowledge of the operation,
adjustments, uses, and capabilities of various types of data processing
equipment;
Ability to follow and execute accurately
oral and written instructions; and
Considerable patience and ability to
work with people over the telephone to solve technical problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED required, some college
preferred, and three years of progressively responsible experience in a large
office environment with general clerical work.
