POSITION SUMMARY:


  The Data Clerk III performs difficult clerical tasks involving various technology applications, reporting and filing of important records.    

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Verify and process Special Education Placement forms (SEP6Rs) for specialized transportation;

Verify, troubleshoot and process placement information;

Process, prepare and disseminate SEP 10C reports to appropriate schools;

Process, prepare and disseminate SEP 18C report to appropriate schools;

Act as a liaison between transportation office and schools;

Develop record files and share it with various offices within and outside special education;

Perform sample audits for transportation and aides;

Maintain and file all forms as needed;

Prepare data reports on a quarterly basis;

Process, maintain and share a database with transportation office for students requiring air controlled atmosphere;

Verify attendance records for students;

Assist in transportation audit;

Prepare and maintain MD Online IEP training calendar;

Set-up trainings on ERO for MD Online IEP training as needed;

Process attendance for MD Online IEP sessions on ERO;

Prepare packets for training sessions;

Assist in corrective action plan data collection;

Manage and confirm lab reservations for Special Education Data Management and Technology labs;

Assist other office staff and supervisors;

Answering calls for Special Education Data management and addressing concerns when possible or directing the call to the appropriate person for assistance; and

Other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment and business arithmetic, and English;

Familiarity with operations of bookkeeping and filing;

Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions;

Ability to write legibly;

Good customer service skills;

Good knowledge of School Max;

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; and

Knowledge of Oracle preferred.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


 

High School graduate or Associate degree with at least three (3) years administrative assistant experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

 



CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


 

Microsoft Office preferred.


 



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


No direct supervisory responsibilities.
