POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Building
Services, the Building Services Technician II will
perform diverse and complex technical and administrative duties to
support the mission of the department. The incumbent of this position is
responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of systemic
documentation, administrative procedures, standard operating procedures, as
well as managing webpage content. The Building Services Technician II will
assist with tracking capital priorities and the creation of annual reports,
including the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Works
with the Director as a liaison with Capital Programs, as well as state and
county agencies regarding capital planning and annual assessments; directs the
flow of information on behalf of the Director of Building Services to the
Assistant Project Manager of Capital Programs;
Creates and maintains standard operating
procedures and administrative procedures for the department; develops and
implements a schedule for reviewing and updating procedures as necessary;
Maintains
records, prepares reports and analyzes data; gathers and complies information
for and assists in preparing the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan;
Provides the Director with status
updates on projects, reports and work products; notifies the Director of any
issues which require intervention;
Works
with maintenance mangers to collect and store asset replacement schedules, as
well as develop and track capital priority requests; facilitates compliance
through alerts and escalations on upcoming reporting deadlines;
Acts
as an administrator for the Building Services website ensuring information is
accurate; provides updates to the website to include quality testing reports, the
Comprehensive Maintenance Plan, other building services related reports and
general information regarding building services;
Responds
to inquiries and develops correspondence on behalf of the department;
Attends meetings as required and provides/presents
status updates as needed regarding department projects; and
Performs other duties as assigned.

Comprehensive
knowledge of the use of technology, computers, mobile devices and software;

to develop summary reports from such records;

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a standard high school diploma or GED
required; Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in
construction management, business administration or a closely related field
preferred. A minimum of four (4) years
of progressively responsible related experience required; previous experience
in the inspections reporting requirements and practices of the Interagency
Committee on School Construction (IAC) preferred.

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
