Yen Nguyen hopes to one day become a surgeon.

Yen, a Largo High School honor student, has taken Advanced Placement courses in Government, Chemistry, Language and Composition, World History, Literature and Biology. A National English Honor Society member and Student Government Association vice president, she has earned more than 100 service learning hours, plays on the tennis team and serves on the principal’s advisory board.

She has pending applications at the University of Maryland, Towson University and the University of Notre Dame.
