    Shilpa Roy 
    Eleanor Roosevelt High School 
    GPA: 4.34

    Shilpa, an avid guitar player and aspiring computer engineer, plans to attend the University of Maryland College Park in the fall and study bioinformatics.  

    Her courseload has included Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science, Calculus BC, Physics C, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, English Language, English Literature, Spanish Language and Culture and World History. She has also taken Calculus III, Differential Equations and Organic Chemistry.

    Shilpa is a member of the National and Spanish Honor Societies and the mock trial, debate, Envirothon and Science Bowl teams. She has also received AP Scholar with Distinction and AP Scholar with Honor recognitions. She won best overall witness in a state mock trial competition and placed first in the Washington Arlington Catholic Forensic League tournament.

    Jennifer Medrano

    GPA 4.0

    Jennifer is a dual enrollment student whose courseload has included Advanced Placement (AP) American Government, Biology and Chemistry along with college-level English and biology. She has also taken Honors English 9, 10 and 11, U.S. History, World History, Biology and Chemistry. 


    Jennifer is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Government Association. She is also a member of the yearbook and newspaper club. She has earned more than 100 student service learning hours tutoring and working with the outreach ministries at her church.

    Jennifer aspires to become a neurologist or anesthesiologist. She was accepted to the University of Maryland College Park and earned a full scholarship through the University of Maryland Incentive Awards Program. She was also accepted to Notre Dame of Maryland University and Trinity Washington University.
