Overview
The Global Studies Program engages students in an educational experience that fosters international understanding and welcomes diversity of thought while preparing students for a globally interconnected world. Students will understand and accept the differences they encounter in our increasingly global society and understand the importance of global awareness and the ways in which globalization shapes history, international cultures, the economy, politics, and society.

Programs of Study
The Global Studies Program features two programs of study:

International Business & Finance
The International Business and Finance program defines the scope of international business and differentiates between domestic operations and business in an international context. Business strategies used by organizations to achieve their international objectives will be brought into context of the global economic and political environment. Students will be provided with an understanding of the international dimension of finance and how this impacts upon business in the global economy. Recommended Electives: Advanced Placement Economics, Business Law, Business Technology and Procedures, Computer Software Applications, Entrepreneurship, Foreign Policy Issues, International Issues, Keyboarding, Web Page Design.

International Relations & Studies
The International Relations & Studies programs of study strives to prepare high school for college and careers that will develop the attitudes, skills and knowledge necessary to become effective global citizens. All students will study world languages, world history, and internationalized courses in English and Social Studies. Writing across the curriculum will shape students proficiency and further prepare them for future endeavors. International Relations and Studies students will study world language for four years, be engaged internationalized classes and have opportunities to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities including guest lectures, cultural events, seminars, study abroad, and the Model  United Nations. Recommended Electives: Advanced Placement European History, Advanced Placement World Languages, Advanced Placement World History, Foreign Policy Issues.
