Academics – Devyn has been involved in the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Program since elementary school. She has taken honors courses in all core subjects in high school. She has also taken the following classes: AP Government, AP Language, AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, AP Comparative Government, AP Literature, and French 1 - 4.

Extracurricular Activities – Band, Poetry Club, Literary Magazine, Church Choir, National Honor Society, Tri-M Honor Society

Future Plans – Devyn’s top choice for her post high school education is Princeton University. However, she is also applying to Vassar College, Lehigh University, Bryn Mawr College, University of Maryland, and Ohio University. After college, she wishes to take part in humanitarian work with the Peace Corps, with hopes of heading to the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Service Officer.

Interesting Notes – Devyn is a born leader and an example to her classmates and friends. She has volunteered at food pantries, school events, animal shelters, and her local library. She won the countywide Poetry Out Loud competition and received the Silver Award in Girl Scouts. She is also an AP Scholar and loves to write.
