    Name:    John W. Quinn

      

    Cumulative GPA:  4.18

     

    Academics: John has taken ten AP classes including AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP English Language, AP Biology, AP Human Geography, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP English Literature, AP Calculus AB, AP U.S. History, and AP Comparative Government. He is also in the Summit Program.

     

    Extracurricular Activities:  John is the senior class president and member of the National Honor Society, Gentlemen's Club, and Prom and Graduation Committee.

     

    Future Plans:  John has applied to the University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, Penn State and Bucknell. He wishes to become a secondary education social studies teacher and then go on to educational administration.

     

    Interesting Notes: John was designated as an "AP Scholar with Distinction" by the College Board for passing at least 5 AP exams with a score of 4 or more on at least two of them. He was the recipient of the Jesse J. Warr Memorial Award for the 2012-2013 school year and a Posse Scholarship finalist. He also organized a school wide effort entitled "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts." This was a community service project in which Bowie High School provided new hats and gloves for every student at District Heights Elementary School during the 2012-2013 school year.
