 Enroll in  Home Schooling

Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year is now open.  Parents who are new to home schooling and parents who plan to continue home schooling their children next year can register at this time.  Parents should complete and submit a signed Home Schooling Notification Form to the Home Schooling Office at pgcps.homeschool@pgcps.org. A student must turn 5 years old before September 1, 2017 in order to qualify for home schooling under PGCPS supervision.

Home Schooling applications take approximately 15 days to process.  Parents will need to take a copy of the endorsed Home Schooling Notification Form to the boundary school for official withdrawal.

Click here to complete the Home Schooling Notification Form.

 Schedule a Portfolio Review

Home schooling parents are required to have two portfolio reviews each year. Portfolio reviews will be conducted at multiple locations throughout the county.  Parents should choose the portfolio review for the location and date that is most convenient to them. Families with more than one student should be mindful to schedule a time slot for each individual student. Families scheduling multiple students will remain with the same reviewer.
