    2017 Outstanding Employee Award Form

    PGCPS recognizes the outstanding contributions of staff by hosting an Employee Recognition Dinner each May. Coworkers, students, parents, and community members are encouraged to submit nominations of employees who demonstrate the highest level of excellence in their work. These nominations will be reviewed by committee, and up to 20 individuals will ultimately be honored as Outstanding Employees during this year’s dinner. Deadline is April 3, 2017. Nominate someone today!

    Employee Recognition Dinner

    For the past 42 years, Prince George’s County has celebrated and recognized world-class educators and leaders for their contributions and commitment to our students and community.     The Christa McAuliffe Award

    In honor of Christa McAuliffe, a former Prince George's County Public Schools teacher, the Board of Education established the Christa McAuliffe Award to recognize excellence in teaching. This award, available to Prince George's County Public Schools teachers only, honors an outstanding teacher based on competitive standards of excellence established by other teachers.      Teacher of the Year


    Organized by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), the Maryland Teacher of the Year Program recognizes the work being done by the state’s outstanding teachers. Drawing from a pool of nominees representing each county, one individual teacher is selected for the honor of representing Maryland in the National Teacher of the Year competition.

    Scholar of the Week
